Game 3: Delaware vs. Drexel - First Half Update

So far this has been the most entertaining game of day one of the CAA Tournament. Both teams are trading baskets back and forth and we currently stand with Delaware clinging to an 18-16 lead at the 7:45 mark.
Frank Elegar has looked impressive at points for Drexel, leading the Dragons with 8 points. The big senior has powered his way inside with a couple of offensive rebounds and a pretty good looking baby hook shot over several defenders. Delaware has had several strong dunks inside much to the delight of the fans that made the trip down south to watch their beloved Fighting Blue Hens.
I really have enjoyed the enthusiasm of the students here though. Delaware’s pep band continues to blare to good tunes and pump up their fans, while the Drexel student section has been about as raucous as any group so far today. I’m going to make this post short though due to the pace, I’ll have more at the half!
