Game 3 Final: Delaware 60 - Drexel 51
> Live on-location in Richmond, VA at the CAA Tournament
It’s amazing how quickly things can go from good to bad. Drexel had the ball trailing by just three points with about 40 seconds remaining, so while not a great situation, they had a chance. Rather than attempting a perimeter shot, the Dragons fed the ball to Frank Elegar (2 points in the second half) who was blocked by Jim Ledsome. That was the beginning of the end. Ledsome went the other way, was intentionally fouled and hit the basket to boot (he would make the free throws on top of that). Again, despite being an eventual 9 point win for the Blue Hens, this game was much closer than the score would indicate.
My wrap up on this is going to be short since I need to set the stage for the final game of the evening. On a side note though, VCU fans are awesome. Why you ask? There team isn’t even playing today, and I’ve easily counted two dozen fans decked out in Rams gear at the arena today. You want to tell me they aren’t excited for tomorrow?
