Game 2: Georgia State vs. William & Mary

> Live on-location in Richmond, VA at the CAA Tournament

Well the 5 vs. 12 game is underway, and the crowd is without a doubt bigger and louder as I anticipated. The William & Mary cheering section is directly behind me, and with the lack of a pep band, they are doing their best to make up for the lack noise.

The Tribe come into today’s action having lost 6 of their last 7, completely nullifying a 9- start in the conference. This isn’t a very high scoring team, but they are balanced. Three players average right around 12 points per game (ala Towson) and sophomore guard David Schneider is their top offensive option. Schneider who only shot 33% from beyond the arc this season, has been stroking it down the stretch from deep.

Georgia State had a tough regular season going just 5-13 in CAA play. Junior Leonard Mendez is by far an away their top scoring option this season. The 6’5” guard averaged 16 points per game during the regular season and was a 40% shooter from beyond the arc.

The opening few minutes here have been back and forth with the Tribe taking an early 6-4 lead. Check back a little later for a first half update!
