Hofstra vs Towson: First Half Update

> Live on-location in Richmond, VA at the CAA Tournament

I forgot to mention this earlier, but this is the 8 vs. 9 game of the tournament, with Hofstra being the 8 seed and Towson the 9 seed. Thus far they have played how you would expect them to.

At the 11:26 mark in the first half Towson leads 9-8 with both teams shooting a combine 6-23. Agudio has two points on a nice up and under move, but has missed on four fairly open attempts from beyond the arc. Two rather boisterous Towson fans sitting behind me have been sure to remind him of this fact after each miss. On a positive though, Hofstra junior forward Dane Johnson equaled his season scoring average in the games first three minutes, thanks to a few trips to the foul line.

Towson’s Junior Hairston has already made his presence felt, coming up with a big block that started a fast break for the Tigers. In all, Towson has looked more comfortable with the pre-tournament jitters in the early going.

The two pep bands continue to be responsible for the vast majority of the noise in the building, in all I’d estimate 300 fans in attendance for this afternoon affair. Come back for more at halftime!
