Hofstra vs Towson: Second Half Update

> Live on-location in Richmond, VA at the CAA Tournament
As I made my way back onto the floor for the second half I stopped to take a peak at Towson’s huddle right before they ran back onto the court. I was surprised at how complacent they seemed despite a huge lead. It isn’t to say that this complacency carried out onto the floor as well, but Hofstra did come out guns blazing to start the second half. The pace of play has picked up considerably here and Towson has matched Hofstra’s initial intensity.

At the 11:54 mark right now Hofstra has cut the deficit to 9 points, but prior to this media timeout Junior Hairston had a big offensive rebound and put back with a foul to boot. The player responsible for that missed shot was Tony Durant, older brother of Kevin Durant (interesting tidbit I thought some of you might not know).

Antoine Agudio has stepped up his play in the second half, having knocked down a few nice jumpers off the dribble, and had a pretty assist in the lane. The Hofstra fans, quiet for the majority of this contest have certainly responded to the improved play of their star in the first 9 minutes of the half.

While they are by no means out of the woods yet, the Pride look like they could actually be in this one a the end of the game, they just need to hope that Agudio can keep knocking down shots like the 30-foot bomb he just hit directly in front of me.
