Greetings From Richmond!
> Live on-location in Richmond, VA at the CAA Tournament
Good morning everyone! Greetings from the Richmond Coliseum, or as its known around these parts, The Coliseum. I’m energized to be here this weekend bringing you guys all the action from what should be a very exciting CAA Tournament. I’m just a tad tired this morning (thanks to UCLA and Stanford for going to overtime last night), but we’re just seconds away from getting things underway with tip-off between Hofstra and Towson.
The Pride are of course led by their superstar and all-time leading scorer Antoine Agudio, one of the nations leading scorers (22.5 ppg). Freshman guard Charles Jenkins had been a nice surprise as well, pumping in 15 points and nearly 5 rebounds per game.
Towson is a little more balanced on the offensive end. The Tigers bring three players averaging about 12 points per night, but are led by long junior forward Junior Hairston who is averaging nearly a double-double coming into the tournament.
Right now I have to say I’m a fan of the Hofstra pep band situated just to my left, they’re small but have tons of energy. I also like their blue and yellow polo’s that they are sporting today, pretty sharp.
The crowd is sparse at best right now but I expect that to change as the day progresses. I’m settling in for a long day of hoops, but that’s all I have for now. The first basket is in for Towson, I’ll be checking in later in the first half!
