Clemson gets a two-out solo homer from Doug Hogan to close the gap to 8-6 in Starkville going to the bottom of the 8th.
Louisville gets another run in the top of the second, but could have had more. With two outs, the Cardinals' Boomer Whiting drilled a shot deep to left. It looked like it was going to go over the wall, but Oklahoma St. left fielder Ty Wright leapt and pulled in the ball at the top of the fence to keep the score at 4-0.
In the bottom of the eighth, MSU goes down in order, and in the bottom of the second, OSU gets a runner on with two outs, but fails to score again.
