Vandy survives, more one seeds in trouble...
Vanderbilt survived a huge extra inning scare from Austin Peay, as the 'Dores picked up a run in the bottom of the 11th to win 2-1.
As I type though, two additional #1 seeds are in tight games. Long Beach State is down 2-1 to Illinois-Chicago in the 7th, while Arizona State has just homered to break up a tie game as the Sun Devils now lead Monmouth 3-1 in the 6th. The only other game of the night is between San Diego and Fresno State; there is no score out west in the 2nd inning.
