Game 11: Championship - William & Mary vs. George Mason - Halftime Update

> Live on-location in Richmond, VA at the CAA Tournament

Laimis Kisielius wants to play in an NCAA Tournament game…badly. The senior forward put together probably the best half of basketball I’ve seen this weekend, netting 15 points, including three bombs from beyond the arc and a buzzer beating mid-range jumper to end the half. As I expected might be the case, William & Mary is hanging tough and won’t leave George Mason alone. At the break its 27-26 with the Patriots holding the slight advantage.

Statistically Mason is shooting much higher from the field (48% to 37%), aside from that things have been fairly even. There is little to no disparity in rebounds or turnovers, the only real difference and the factor keeping the Tribe in this one is three-point shooting. W&M hit 4 in the first half while Mason only connected from beyond the arc once.

Will Thomas had a good first half as well recording 6 points and 6 rebounds; Mason will need him to continue to be effective.

The half is over and we’re just about ready to start things up again. Twenty minutes stand between one of these teams and an NCAA Tournament bid and this crowd is rocking. I’ll check back later in the half!
