Game 10: Semifinals - UNC Wilmington vs. George Mason

Well we have one half of tomorrow’s championship game all set, time for the second piece to be placed. Wilmington and Mason is going to be one heck of a game. Good team basketball vs. all out athleticism. Who’s going to come out on top? Well last time out on January 26th it was UNCW escaping with a 61-58 win over the Patriots. GMU owns the all-time series in this one though 31-29.
I’m really looking forward to seeing the battle inside between Will Thomas and Vladimir Kuljanin. The Seahawks big man certainly has the size advantage, but Thomas is a better athlete and I think has a bigger mean streak in him.
The real key for Mason is going to be the ability to match up with the plethora of scorers that Wilmington brings to the floor. Remember five different players were in double figures yesterday as the Seahawks blew out Delaware. Mason has the experience though, appearing in their third straight CAA semifinals.
The starting lineups have just been announced so I’m going to settle in for the game and check back here later in the first half.
