Game 9 Finals: Semifinals - William & Mary 56 - VCU 54

> Live on-location in Richmond, VA at the CAA Tournament

Holy cow its pandemonium in Richmond! At this point its getting to be just a bit ridiculous but the Green Machine did it again as William & Mary advanced to the championship game, snapping a 12 game losing streak to VCU. Proud coach Tony Shaver is to my right being interviewed for W&M radio.

What an unbelievable finish. With three seconds left on the game clock and the shot clock showing zero, Laimis Kislielius’s turnaround jump shot banked in for the game winner. The final was 56-54 and the 100 or so students in the Tribe student section knocked down several barricades and stormed the court to congratulate their victorious team.

Kisielius and Danny Sumner combined for 42 of the Tribes 56 points in helping the team reach their first ever CAA Championship game tomorrow night.

Eric Maynor was brilliant in defeat for VCU, but now will have to wait along with the rest of his teammates to see if they will get an at large bid for the NCAA Tournament. The final on today’s Larry Sanders watch was 8 points, 7 rebounds, and 1 block.

Time for a quick preview of our second semifinal game!
