Halftime Update- Kentucky 25, Georgia 22
> Live on-location in Atlanta, GA at the SEC Tournament
Wow what a first half here at the Georgia Do- excuse me... Alexander Memorial Fieldhouse. That's right, for those of you who havent been watching, they moved the remainder of the SEC Tournament to Georgia Tech's basketball stadium, which seats roughly 9000. Well, with 26000 tickets to the games today in people's hands, not everyone will fit. So, they decided to let only the team's bands, their cheerleaders, the players' family, and the media in. I'd say there's about 1000 people here, give or take.... And about 800 of them are Wildcat fans. I have no idea how all these Kentucky people got in, but somehow they did. I guess Billy Gillespie has a lot of relatives, huh?
On to the game.
Georgia jumped out to a big lead early on behind a couple of Terrence Woodbury 3-pointers to take a 16-4 lead. From there on out, it was all UK. Kentucky outscored the Bulldogs 21-6 to go into the hald up by three. Neither team has been able to make the open jump shot. Joe Crawford leads the Wildcats with ten points, two from three point shots. Terrance Woodbury paces the Bulldogs with 8 points, with 2 three pointers of his own.
It is absolutely amazing to watch this game being played in such a small arena as this one. If you're not watching on tv, I'd advise you to do so. It should be a fun one here in the second half, so join me in an hour when I wrap things up!
